ThingsPro Edge 2.2.1-3369
Release Date: 16 Dec 2021
New Features
Azure IoT Edge (only for eligible AIG series devices)
- (upgrade) Preloads Azure IoT Edge runtime v1.1.4.
- Supports upgrade/downgrade of Azure IoT Edge runtime version (except v1.2) manually.
- Supports X.509 certificate provisioning through Azure DPS.
Azure IoT Device
- Allows Azure IoT Device to connect to a Azure IoT Edge (such as AIG series being a transparent gateway).
Configurable Device Twin / Device Shadow
- (Change) Default device properties will now only have two sections; general and wan in Azure IoT Edge, Azure IoT Device, and AWS IoT Core. There is no impact on existing devices that go by the upgrade process. This change will help save on bandwidth costs.
- Provides RESTful API to enable/disable other sections of device properties.
Certificate Center
- Presents all X.509 certificates associated with device, such as HTTP SSL and all customer-imported northbound X.509 certificates.
DLM Application
- Allows devices to connect to Moxa DLM (Device Life-cycle Management) service.
Firewall Service
- Displays inbound firewall rules applied to the device.
- Supports creation of inbound firewall rules.
NAT Service
- Enabling the NAT service will allow southbound child devices to access Internet directly.
Modbus Master Troubleshooting
- Provides CLI to retrieve the connect status and traffic logs of slaveconnected devices. See command-line functions.
Sparkplug
- Supports bulk data upload when a device is back to connected status from disconnected.
Tag Overview
- Supports real-time monitoring of tags and writing values into writable tags.
Fixed Issues
- MQTT TLS version cannot be configured as 1.0.
- Incorrect WAN Interface information displayed in the System Overview.
- Conversion of the maximum value of uint64/int64 in the register is not precise.
- Same device name can be created for different Modbus interfaces.
- Some memory tags will be missed by MQTT Broker if the System Overview page is closed when the pull operation is in progress.
- Selected tags in a message cannot be sent out simultaneously within a given send-out-threshold.
Notes
- Upgrade the ThingsPro Agent docker images to 2.2.2.(AIG series devices only). For details, see Container Create Option
API Breaking Changes
- Adds "acceptEULA" property in Auth API. See Auth API
- The endpoint for firewall setting modified from "/device/firewall/portforwarding" to "/device/firewall/inbounds". See info
- Adds the "password" property to the request body instead of the URL for Sparkplug and systems configuration. See API for Sparkplug and API for systems configuration
