Exporting the System Log File
Go to Diagnostic > System Log to export the system log file and specify the location to save the file.
Note: Ensure that the System Log Service is enabled before exporting the system logs.
For optimize the use of storage space on your computer, you can check the Enable Time to Live option and specify the maximum storage space for the system logs.
Viewing Event Logs
Go to Diagnostic > Event Logs to view all event logs categorized by Severity, Event Name, and Category. You can use the SEARCH function to filter the event logs to find a specific event. The event logs can also be exported as a *.zip file and downloaded on to your computer.
Configuring Event Log Settings
ThingsPro Edge allows you to choose the type of events stored in the log, the storage location of the log file, and the maximum storage size to use. Click on Event Settings to configure these settings.
Note: Ensure that the Event Log Service is enabled before you configure the settings.
To select the type of events to store, click on the levels of severity for the events: Alert, Warning, or Info. You can also select the individual events that you want to keep in the log.
To specify the location to store the event logs, click and specify the location and the cache size (MB). Click SUBMIT to confirm your settings.
After configuring all the required settings, click SAVE to save and apply the settings.
